Endodontic treatment is diagnosed for a tooth that is diagnosed as having an infection in the root and its surrounding tissues. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

This treatment is initiated by accessing the root through the crown of the tooth. Small instruments are then used to remove the infected tissue from the walls of the root.

Once effective cleaning and shaping of the root is completed, the root is sealed to prevent future infection. Following this treatment the tooth becomes more susceptible to fracture so a core foundation and crown restoration is frequently diagnosed. This allows us to achieve a stable and long-term healthy outcome for the tooth.
